Almegue-invest (updated)

Almegue-invest is the company, who together with Transes International, was going to restart the Almegue project in 2017/2018, after the new project plan based on the conditions of the POACB of 2003 (an Aldeamento Turistico) was going to be submitted in 2017 to the Camara of Serta for approval and licensing.

A restart that could finally happen after the sentence of the Lisbon court in 2015 resulted in the return of the chalets of the previous promised buyers to the project owner; a blockade of the project since 2004, with an estimated financial loss of more than 7 million Euros.

The wildfire in June 2017 stopped again everything, as 13 of the 15 chalets and the available infrastructure was completely destroyed, with a total financial damage of more than 3 million Euros.

A tragedy, but the damage could have been controlled if Fidelidade SA, had paid the proper reconstruction cost based on the available insurance contacts, not later than the end of 2017.

But that no, that did not happen, as Fidelidade and its lawyers started again with malicious and fraudulent actions to delay or even to avoid up to now any payment for the damage.

The other company, Transes International SA in Luxembourg, could not survive and was involuntary liquidated by the court in 2022; a clear victim of Fidelidade and its lawyers.

In 2023 a lawyers firm in Portugal was requested to reach a settlement with Fidelidade in order to stop the fast surging financial damage caused by the refusal of the damage payment.

Finally, no interest from Fidelidade, as the company and its lawyers at the moment seems to be quite comfortable with their court case, started in 2019 in the Castelo Branco court, and the low and restricted damage payment amount,

Therefore, it has become more than time to share with the general public, in and outside Portugal, via this web site these malicious actions of a complete unreliable and dangerous insurance company, so that everyone will know the risks of doing any business with this company.

It is also a company that makes in a fraudulent way full use of the very slow Portuguese Judicial system, as any serious legal process in Portugal takes 5 to 10 years; Very comfortable, but unacceptable in most of the other E.C. countries.

In the meanwhile, a first preliminary session of this legal process in the Castelo Branco court has still to be started. So far it has been teased by 3 postponed sessions, the last one a few weeks ago.

It is now waiting for a new date from the Castelo Branco court, probably in January 2024.

There is only one satisfaction: the financial damage claim to Fidelidade for the year 2024 is at least increasing with 112,645.75 Euro by month!

Further, knowing the political system in Portugal, this web site will be send separately and in particular to all those parties interested in and familiar with Fidelidade SA, in and outside Portugal.

In the future, via regular posts, the administration will keep the general public, in and outside Portugal, informed about new developments in this case.

Reconstruction and development Mandate

In the meanwhile Almegue-Invest got the mandate form the owner of the Almegue Project to rebuild the houses destroyed by the wildfire in June 2017 and insured by Fidelidade SA, and to restart with the redevelopment of the Almegue project. Sofar, since the beginning of 2018 blocked by Fidelidade and its lawyers, in particular via the legal process in Breda, the Netherlands, at the end of 2018, and via the legal process in the Castelo Branco/Serta court since 2019. The process after 5 years must stll start in the Serta court.
